Overview

There is a clear trend toward precision medicine, a broad, all-encompassing approach that uses technological innovations, diagnostics and bioinformatics to enhance disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring. Molecular diagnostic methods now play an essential role in delivering precision health to patients in many clinical areas, and their role is likely to become even more prominent in the coming years.

The workshop will bring a basic intro to the molecular diagnostic and a focused global molecular company (Sansure); then, it will focus on some important application projects for DNA testing, which are Cervical Cancer Screening in Thailand and NAT Blood Screening.

Learning objectives

  • Introduction of Sansure company (10-15 min)
  • Cervical Cancer Screening in THAILAND: a Paradigm Shift (Dr. Mongkol Benjapibal) (50 min)
  • NAT to prevent transfusion-transmitted infections in blood banks and health facilities (50 min)
