Overview

With increasing demands on productivity and decreasing resources, clinical laboratories are looking for ways to optimize sample throughput, reduce review rates, and improve the accuracy of reported results. This workshop guides the laboratorians through concepts of auto verification and artificial intelligence in compliance with CLSI guidelines and meeting requirements of ISO 15189 and CAP standards

Dr. Satish Ramanathan is currently working as Data Scientist at Sukraa Software Private Limited. He was heading the Division of Clinical Chemistry and Serology (infectious and noninfectious including immunofluorescence-indirect), Hematology, clinical pathology and deputy head of Transplant immunology & Molecular Diagnostics, Department of Laboratory Medicine at MIOT hospitals, Chennai, India since 2014. He has been a pioneer in implementing Total Laboratory Automation at MIOT hospitals Clinical Laboratory.He completed his UG with distinction and honors in Clinical Chemistry, Anatomy, ENT, ophthalmology, Forensic Medicine and General Surgery. He completed his MD ranking first rank with Distinction winner of Ramasamy Padaiyachi Endowment State Award for best Outgoing student. He has been awarded Gold Medal for Best paper presentation in International Conference on Frontiers of Biomedicine in year and won first prize in pan India Clinical chemistry Quiz organized by AFMC-NIMS at ACBICON, cochin. He has more than 40 publications in national and international journals. He is a member of American Association of Clinical Chemists (AACC, USA) and certified graduate in “Practical Approaches to Quality Control in the Clinical Laboratory” from AACC. He is a life time member of ASHI (American society of histocompatibility and immunogenetics) He is a member of ASQ (American Society of Quality) and EFLM. He is a Certified Internal Auditor for medical testing laboratories as per ISO 15189:2012. He is a NABL and QAI assessor (ISO 15189:2012) and had been CAP inspector for over 3 years. He has delivered guest lectures in various national and international forums.

Anantharaman Rajagopal

Mr. Anantharaman Rajagopal is the Chief Technical Officer of Sukraa Software Solution Pvt. Ltd., an India based Heath Care Solution provider company, from its inception in 2003. Prior to this assignment he was working as a Programmer Analyst for the Stock Brokerage product development company, at Chennai. Mr. Anantharaman excels in Healthcare IT leadership positions with in depth knowledge of Medical Imaging, Integrated Medical Patient Record, Clinician Information Support System, Hospital Information and Management System, Software Engineering and Solution Architecture. He is energetic, passionate and accomplished technologist, leading the products team of Sukraa Software Solution. He has a strong knowledge on the interfacing of Medical equipments and has the ability to prepare drivers (programs) for achieving the same across different equipment manufacturers and models, temperature, humidity and pressure monitors.

He is a deep technical generalist who can rapidly adapt to the pace of business changes and steer the product development towards the future technology vision. As the chief product architect of Sukraa, he works closely with Business Partners, Strategists, Product Managers, Engineering, Security, and technical delivery teams of clients, to create and manage product road map. He has also supported as the Technical Consultant for Irevna, one of the fortune 500 companies and a unit of CRISIL group, in implementing their in-house modules. Further, he has supported as the Technical Consultant for Mahasemam and SMILE Limited in implementing the Microfinance module in conjunction with FINO and ICICI bank. He has experience in implementing Sukraa’s Health Care solution in countries like India, Srilanka, Nepal, Oman, Botswana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, etc. He has given lectures in various forums on topics including Safe handling of samples using barcoding and interfacing with Medical equipment.

Dr. Elizabeth Frank

Dr. Elizabeth Frank is having 30 years of experience in setting up andmanaging both large and midsized laboratories. She is a partner at Learning 2 Lead Consultancy providing consulting services to clinicallaboratories in India and in the Asia Pac region. Dr. Elizabeth Frank through Learning 2 Lead consultancy provides technicaland non-technical operational assessments, compliance assessment, facilityplanning, lab design development, onsite management training and staffing. She also provides consultancy to streamline process and hand holdlaboratories through the various process thus adding value to the Lab. She also conducts Training programs for lab professionals on lab management, Internal Auditing, Process streamlining preparing for accreditation and allrelated topics. Dr. Elizabeth Frank has previously held positions in executive committees ofthe EMD of the IFCC. She has been actively involved in the Asia Pacific Region and served as Treasures of APFCB. She has been a part of the developing countries projects and authored monographs on managing quality. She is also an adjust professor at the Mangalore university, where sheteaches and mentors students in translatable research. With her wide experience in Diagnosis, Research and Innovation and the experience in working with small and big labs across nations, and being anentrepreneur, she comes with a unique understanding of need of the industry, areas that will impact change and make a difference to patientoutcomes. What is the innovation needed to bring about a tangible difference to patients and healthcare delivery? How do we simplify, be cost effective and relevant? Process improvement, operational efficacy andexcellence are challenges that the lab faces. She will be able to bring in a fresh perspective and add value to build labs that are sustainable efficientand cost effective.
